Direct Support Professional - Manlius

Looking for a rewarding job? A funny and interesting college student with mobility challenges is seeking a responsible mentor (DSP) for support with her daily life. Assistance is needed with personal care, support accessing college work, social media and computer usage, transportation in an adaptive van, and more. Mentor must have their own transportation and be comfortable with pets. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in the life of someone in your community! Candidates must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day's time, mileage, and service documentation. Internet access and a valid email address are required. 
 
Available Shifts:

Monday through Thursday (5 PM - 9 PM)

Thursday (9 AM - 5 PM)

Pay rate: $21 per hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $15.50 per hour.

• Education & Experience: GED or High School Diploma preferred. Applicable job experience preferred.
• Desired Skills and Abilities: previous experience working 1:1 in a related service environment preferred. Knowledge of disability related issues preferred.
• Other: The individual does not have the authority to set the staff salary in this model. The Mentor is paid at the provider’s rate for the service based on an assessment of the specific support needs of the individual in the areas of behavioral support, communication support, and physical support needs.
