Primary Function
The Community Housing Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing ongoing administrative support in the Community Services Department. This is a part time position focuses on ensuring the SURE Repaid Rehousing program and Intake/Outreach department coordinate services, tracks referrals, connect participants to local supportive resources, and update databases in a timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Scheduling appointments
- Maintaining client files
- Preparing correspondence, reports and other documentation
- Managing databases and performing data entry
- Attend Outreach events
- Process payment requests for approval
- Interact with housing participants and waitlist clients to provide information and support
- Connect clients with relevant resources and supportive programs
- Assist with case planning and review
- Gathers information for reports
- Monitor program goals and outcomes
- Occasional home visits
Required Skills
- Effective verbal and written communication are essential for interacting with clients and colleagues
- Strong organizational and time management skills are needed to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Empathy, patience and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management systems
- A basic understanding of social service programs and resources
