Part-time Temporary Community Housing Administrative Assista

Primary Function

The Community Housing Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing ongoing administrative support in the Community Services Department.  This is a part time position focuses on ensuring the SURE Repaid Rehousing program and Intake/Outreach department coordinate services, tracks referrals, connect participants to local supportive resources, and update databases in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Scheduling appointments
  • Maintaining client files
  • Preparing correspondence, reports and other documentation
  • Managing databases and performing data entry
  • Attend Outreach events
  • Process payment requests for approval
  • Interact with housing participants and waitlist clients to provide information and support
  • Connect clients with relevant resources and supportive programs
  • Assist with case planning and review
  • Gathers information for reports
  • Monitor program goals and outcomes
  • Occasional home visits

Required Skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication are essential for interacting with clients and colleagues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are needed to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Empathy, patience and the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management systems
  • A basic understanding of social service programs and resources

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Five plus years of relevant job experience
  • Understanding of housing instability and its impact on overall health and well-being
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
  • Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping
  • Knowledge of local community resources and service providers
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
