United Way of Greater Atlanta (UWGA) is in the midst of transformational change and is embarking on new and different ways to raise and earn revenue so that it can accelerate and scale its mission to drive sustainable and equitable improvements in the well-being of children, families, and individuals in greater Atlanta. JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Women United, reports to the Senior Director of Tocqueville Society and Leadership Giving and is a key member of the Office of Development (OoD).Â
This innovative position will play an instrumental role cultivating women philanthropists while creating and implementing an individual engagement strategic plan aimed at increasing revenue and donor retention; providing opportunities to engage prospects; effectively managing volunteer cabinets & committees, growing women’s affinity group membership; expanding individual engagement to include regional opportunities; stewarding UWGA key corporate and major giving stakeholders; engaging a diverse audience; and evaluating & executing moves management opportunities through targeted outreach. In pursuit of these goals and other measurable metrics, the Director will utilize various marketing & technology channels to build connections within UWGA’s  community and beyond, as well as work collaboratively with leads in Major Gifts, OOD and across the organization to implement robust strategies & tactics to build donors outside the traditional workplace campaign; building individual relationships through personalized communications & meetings and fostering UWGA champions within the area of women’s advancement. Engagement will consist of professional development, volunteerism, and related social networking events. This position will also be responsible for volunteer board/cabinet management duties as directed by the Senior Director of Tocqueville Society and Leadership Giving on individual needs and priorities to maintain superior donor relationships.
This position will be responsible for fundraising.
