Description

Episcopal High School is seeking a Student Activities Assistant for the 2025-26 school year to help plan and execute the School’s robust student weekend activities program for its 440 boarding students. Student activities include off-campus events from professional sports outings to cultural experiences in Washington, D.C. to shopping excursions to outdoor adventures, and on-campus events such as student dances, friendly competitions, crafting events, and larger events such as our annual Haunted House, Grade Games, and Finals dance (our version of the Prom!) and more.  This crucial role helps create a positive and organized experience for students on weekends at this 100% boarding school.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Key responsibilities include:

  • Brainstorm with student activities leaders to come up with desirable weekend activitiesKeep track of faculty sign ups (those teachers who assist with activities on the weekend)
  • Communicate with Weekend Team leaders, the adults who support weekend activities
  • Create weekly Canva slides and send to IT to put on campus TVs
  • Process and send student charges to the business office
  • Assist in gathering supplies for weekend activities
  • Meet with Weekend Team (adults charged with supervision of the campus over the weekend)
  • Update school calendar with activities 
  • Schedule and attend student activities committee meetings

This is a part-time position, scheduled approximately 15-20 hours per week, for the ten (10) months of the academic year from mid-August through mid-June.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree
  • Friendly, student-centered, and sense of humor to work with high school students!
  • Detail-oriented with knowledge of Google Suite 
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines
  • Team oriented with ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Related experience in an educational setting is helpful but not required
