Description

Episcopal High School is seeking a part-time Post Office Assistant responsible for supporting the Post Office Manager with a variety of post office duties.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Sorting and distributing all incoming mail and packages to students, faculty, and staff
  • Scanning incoming/outgoing letters and packages mail via Web Tracking Systems (WTS) software
  • Maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments and forwarding addresses
  • Forwarding first class mail and packages to former students and faculty
  • Weighing and processing outgoing mail utilizing the S.M.A.R.T mailroom software for shipping vendors including, but not limited to USPS, FedEx, and UPS
  • Preparing monthly reports and other records as directed
  • Performing other duties as assigned

During the school year, the regular work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 9:00 PM – 3:30 PM. Flexible availability, including extended hours and availability during school breaks, summers, and holidays, may be required.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent

  • Prior knowledge of Quadient meter systems, or similar systems, is preferred (i.e. Pitney Bowes, FP Mailing Solutions, etc.)

  • Good physical condition with the ability to pick up and carry up to 100 pounds daily

  • English proficiency with the ability to check names and numbers with speed and accuracy

  • Ability to use office equipment such as calculator, copier, telephone and personal computer

  • Very strong written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills
