What You’ll Do All Day
 

As a Specialist, Business Development Operations, you will play an essential role in advancing our mission. You will collaborate with a passionate team to craft and implement strategies that elevate the future of math and science education. The Specialist, Business Development Operations, directly impacts our mission by assisting with day-to-day business development operations, offering feedback to help refine and improve processes and systems. Your daily activities will include:

 

  1. Serving as the primary point of contact for account managers on all Salesforce-related questions, requests and training needs; configure and maintain dashboards and reports tailored to the team’s needs; troubleshoot issues and elevate to TBO (Technology & Business Operations) when necessary.
  2. Conducting regular updates and pipeline analysis, using Salesforce, for business development opportunities.
  3. Supporting quarterly portfolio reviews for all manager-level district account managers by conducting Salesforce audits and providing insights.
  4. Supporting day-to-day operations for district sales and cultivation which includes providing regular feedback to inform improvement for necessary processes, procedures and protocols.
  5. Supporting account managers with timely review and responses to business development operations requests which may include compiling research summaries, drafting briefs, drafting proposals and agreements, or other requests as needed.
  6. Supporting the district contracting process by managing out-going district agreements via DocuSign, ensuring proper storage of final executed agreements, building contracts in Salesforce and initiating the contract handoff process with PSO (Program Success Operations)
  7. Other duties as assigned

The Specialist, Business Development Operations will report to the Manager, Business Development Operations and is a full-time hourly position offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the contiguous United States. Occasional travel may be required for in-person meetings, conferences, and events.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For
 

We seek individuals who are:

  • Experience: You have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with a sales or fundraising team (preferably nonprofit or education settings) and using Salesforce CRM.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Salesforce is required, including training, troubleshooting, dashboard creation, and report configuration. Experience using Microsoft 365 is preferred.
  • Strategic Thinkers: Provide reporting and analysis to support account strategy, revenue tracking, and portfolio performance reviews. 
  • Results Driven: Support key elements of the contracting process, ensuring timely execution, proper documentation, and compliance with internal protocols.
  • Nimble Learners: Assist with day-to-day business development operations, offering feedback to help refine and improve processes and systems.
  • Team-Oriented: Assist with high-priority projects or initiatives that advance team and organizational goals.
  • Physical Requirements: Remote employees working from a home office must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, use a computer and other standard office equipment, and have the capability to perform the required tasks and participate in virtual meetings, as well as occasionally in-person meetings. Employees must be able to travel overnight away from their home office environment as needed. Reasonable accommodation can be arranged if necessary.
