JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for coordination and service to Braves Fan Shop operations through an accurate and timely service to those who seek assistance. Requires frequent and effective communication with employees, students and persons external to the University. Routinely interacts with others requiring effective communications and detailed knowledge of processes and procedures. Requires occasional evening and weekend responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB (provide list of items which are essential to effective outcomes in this role):
- Greet students, university employees, and community members who seek service and assistance in a professional manner with a customer focused service.
- Ensure adequate paper and copy center supplies are stocked and available for use when needed. Request and delivery of such supplies.
- Provide a customer focused copy center service and assistance including: a knowledge of the services, product stock, and pricing available as a part of the service center; assure an adequate supply of printed materials are on hand; notify Director of Auxiliary Services of need to order to replenish stock; provide copy coordination and service to internal and external clients with copy needs; and process requests for product orders and deliver them to offices/departments in a timely manner.
- Assure all responsibilities are done to assure the timely and service-oriented success of copy center operations.
- Assist with shipments received through the mail room and assure for management and delivery of these shipments.
- Provide support to the facilitation of requests for general office supply inventory and coordination of orders with the Staples corporate contact person as well as the distribution of orders upon receipt to appropriate purchasers.
- Under the direction of the Director of Auxiliary Services, become proficient in the use of the POS software to process cash and charge transactions accurately and according to established procedures.

- Responsible for daily general operations support the Braves Fan Shop, front desk, mail room, copy center and textbooks for both OUKS and Adult & Online programs. Ensure customers are served with superior customer service. Participate as a member of the unit to assure customers are served in a timely and responsive manner. Understand the daily responsibilities of all department positions assuring effective cross training.
- Interface with others via telephone, computer and in person. Maintain effective working relationships and understand the job responsibilities and obligations of those with whom you work. Support the work of other staff members and create a sense of “team” within the unit.
- Work with and train student employees, including assisting with scheduling.
- Recommend necessary departmental policies changes as appropriate.
- Provide an effective and responsible interface to persons both internal and external to the University who are seeking information and assistance. Represent the University to students, staff, faculty, and external groups in a way that reflects well on OU. Assure that all University information is handled in a confidential and ethical manner in alignment with the University’s Code of Conduct and Ethics.
