About The Position:
The HR Generalist is responsible for creating, updating, and applying all HR policies and company guidelines and making sure they adhere to Federal and State standards and laws. Responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department, including all leave administration, tracking, compliance, and the interactive process.
What You'll Be Doing
- Act as the primary point of contact for Human Resources matters; ensuring the employment experience represents our company core values and C.A.R.E.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance with the Employee Relations Manager.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training per state. Responsible for EEOC/Safety Training tracking and administration.
- Educates newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations, and answers the HR inbox for inquiries. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate leadership in the people group.
- Administers leave administration with the Employee Relations Manager (FMLA, ADA) and consults the Vice President of People Resources as appropriate.
- Maintains Position Descriptions with leaders and works closely with the HR Admin to assist in day-to-day needs and operations of the HR department.
- Processes PAFs in the HRIS system and is responsible for all letters to employees for changes of any kind, with HRIS updates and changes as needed.
- Participates in development of People objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports for company requirements/audit requests.
- Assists with the preparation of Performance/Merit administration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Required 2 years of Human Resource experience in a Generalist capacity.
- SHRM-CP preferred.
- Experience in leave administration (FMLA/ADA).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
- Knowledge of employment law.

Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of your job, you may regularly be required to sit and use a keyboard, multiple monitors, mouse, and telephone (including repetitive motions with hands, fingers, arms, etc.) for extended periods of time. You may also frequently be required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, bend, and kneel.
- You may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits
- $64,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
- Compensation is dependent on experience
- Medical, dental, and vision plans, where we cover 90% of employee costs and about 75% of the costs for their dependents
