About The Position:

The Commercial Portfolio Analyst is responsible for overseeing and managing a portfolio of commercial loans, ensuring their health and performance. This includes analyzing financial statements, conducting credit analysis, and managing direct contact with the servicer and loan participants. 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to risk rating the commercial loan portfolio.  
  • Evaluate the quality of lending policies and manage credit risk management processes.
  • Analyzing financial statements, tax returns, and other financial information to assess the creditworthiness of a loan health and identify potential risks.  
  • Conducting thorough credit analysis on new loan requests, renewals, and ongoing portfolio loans.  
  • Prepare annual reviews, credit presentations, monthly credit updates and postmortem analysis for senior management.
  • Identifying, assessing, and managing credit and other risks associated with the loan portfolio.  
  • Evaluate the timeliness and quality of deliverables such as loan renewals, annual reviews, covenant compliance, quarterly watch list reviews, modification write-ups, delinquency reports, and collection efforts.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of Commercial Lending Experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A strong understanding of credit analysis principles, loan structuring, and lending regulations.   

Skills & Competencies

  • Communicates effectively
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks effectively.  
  • Industry knowledge of commercial lending
  • Financial acumen

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of your job, you may regularly be required to sit and use a keyboard, multiple monitors, mouse, and telephone (including repetitive motions with hands, fingers, arms, etc.) for extended periods of time. You may also frequently be required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, bend, and kneel.
  • You may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Location and Travel Requirements

  • The Financial Analyst has the ability to work remotely. (excluding California, Colorado and Ohio)

Compensation & Benefits

  • $70,000.00 - $97,000.00 per year
  • Compensation is dependent on experience
  • Medical, dental, and vision plans, where we cover 90% of employee costs and about 75% of the costs for their dependents
