Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a cold temperature (38 – 42 degrees). There is a great deal of walking requiring. The noise level in the work environment can be loud and hearing protection is available.Â

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to ten pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to twenty-five pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Â

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. The plant operates on a seven-day schedule and some weekend work may be required. General production hours are from 5:00 am through midnight with sanitation activities from midnight to 5:00 am.Â

Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected on an infrequent basis. Â

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field or five years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment.Â
- Experience with managing a large hourly workforce preferred.Â
- Experience with fresh produce is desired but not required.Â
- Past experience should include working in a fast-paced environment.Â
