REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND TRAITS:
Qualified candidates must have:
- Earned doctorate in hearing science, audiology, or a related field (PhD, EdD);
- Oregon audiology license; individuals who do not yet hold but are eligible for an Oregon audiology license may be considered but the license must be acquired before the start date;
- A commitment to interprofessional healthcare education, service, and emerging healthcare-related issues which aligns with the mission and vision of the School and College of Health Professions.
DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
All areas of professional expertise will be considered if supportive of the overall growth of the School of Audiology, its AuD program, and the PacificEar Clinic.
Desirable experience and traits include:
- Teaching experience, preferably at the university level;
- Clinical precepting experience, preferably at the university level;
- Bilingual in English and Spanish; and
- ASHA CCC-A and/or ABA certification.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Typical clinical, administrative, and university teaching environment. Accelerated, modified block-curriculum teaching format. Clinical service delivery, precepting, and teaching are conducted during fall, spring, and summer semesters.
