The WEC serves as a center for brand immersion and culinary excellence, as well as a vital logistics and distribution hub supporting our Merrychef and Convotherm brand customers and sales teams across North America.

 

Position Summary:

 

As Shipping & Receiving I, you will be responsible for reviewing customer orders and shipping schedules to ensure timely delivery of units. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and is based on-site in Coppell, TX.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Review customer orders and shipping schedules to ensure unit availability for timely delivery
  • Arrange outbound transportation for domestic and international orders; track shipments as needed
  • Prepare shipping documents for outbound shipments
  • Send routing requests and schedule outbound carriers
  • Perform cycle counts
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards
  • Follow Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and Welbilt Code of Conduct requirements
  • Use hand trucks, hoists, and other material handling equipment to move materials and products
  • Operate hand tools, including electrical and pneumatic-powered tools
  • Construct shipping containers, prepare products for shipment, and crate/band products as required
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet quality, engineering, and customer standards
  • Complete and maintain accurate electronic records and paperwork (e.g., checklists, barcoding, shipping/receiving systems)
  • Actively participate in safety training and report or resolve safety issues
  • Consistently operate in a manner that aligns to the Company core values

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of warehouse experience; forklift operation preferred
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English
  • Must meet company requirements to maintain forklift certification
  • Ability to safely and effectively operate material handling equipment
  • Basic writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; able to work independently
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of truck freight shipping standards

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • Day shift; ability to work over 40 hours as required
  • Standing and walking on concrete up to 100% of the workday
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Manual dexterity for tool usage; ability to use hands for reaching and handling
  • Visual inspection of products required
  • Lift and carry up to 35 lbs. alone; over 35 lbs. with assistance
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment
