Education and/or Experience: Â
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college/university and a minimum of 7 years of progressing leadership experience in Quality and Manufacturing.
- Experience leading multi-site or multi-discipline quality teams, including Supplier Quality and Quality Control functions.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills across Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, and Supply Chain.
- Familiar with boat systems: DC electrical, water/pluming, propulsion;
- Proven experience in supplier management, problem-solving methodologies, and quality systems
- Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Experience developing and implementing procedures, standards, and improvement strategies.
- Experience writing procedures and standards.

Language Skills:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Other Qualifications:
- 4+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in quality
- Experience with quality system development and auditing
- Proficiency in ABYC, NMMA, USCG, and CE standards that apply to boat construction preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business software systems;
- Demonstrate a passion and a responsibility for the consumer;
- Willingness to travel when required;
- Experience with quality inspection methods;
- Ability to present information to a large group and interface across all departments;
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
