Are you a creative storyteller and dynamic organizer with a heart for helping youth? St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS) is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Marketing & Fundraising Coordinator to elevate our community presence and grow vital support for children and families in need.

As a key member of our development team, you will lead marketing efforts, manage community engagement campaigns, and spearhead unforgettable fundraising events. If you're ready to turn compassion into action—and creativity into results—this is the role for you.

About Us:

For over 30 years, SAYS has provided therapeutic care to children and young adults affected by trauma, abuse, or mental health challenges. Through residential programs, counseling services, and community partnerships, we help young people heal and thrive in a safe, supportive environment.

Your Role:

As our Marketing & Fundraising Coordinator, you will manage agency communications and play a central role in donor engagement. You’ll plan and execute small and large fundraising events, maintain a strong social media presence, and build lasting relationships with community partners and supporters.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & Communications

  • Create engaging content and manage agency social media accounts (Facebook & Instagram).

  • Design and distribute the SAYS newsletter (print and email) three times annually.

  • Oversee additional email campaigns, ensuring message and brand consistency.

  • Manage SAYS Garden, our monthly giving club, including quarterly newsletters and donor acknowledgments.

  • Coordinate public relations efforts: radio/TV features, press releases, speaking opportunities, and local media exposure.

Fundraising Events

  • Plan and lead 3–4 major annual fundraising events:

    • Wildwood Fishing Tournament

    • Annual Auction

    • Santa Suits on the Loose 5K

    • Potential Annual Gala

  • Manage event logistics: committees, vendors, volunteers, budgets, and post-event reporting.

  • Coordinate 2–4 smaller annual events, including:

    • April Child Abuse Prevention Month Event

    • St. Augustine Giving Day

    • Annual Awards Banquet

    • Potential Garden Party for recurring donors

Holiday Giving Program

  • Oversee holiday gift collection for 150+ youth and families:

    • Gather wish lists, coordinate donors, and organize gift logistics.

    • Manage wrapping, storage, distribution, and donor acknowledgments.

Donor Relations & Database Management

  • Ensure all donors receive thank-you letters within one week.

  • Maintain donor database (CRM): input donations, track giving history, and generate reports.

  • Reconcile donations with the accounting team.

  • Provide tours, process gifts, and respond to donor inquiries with professionalism and warmth.

Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, event planning, or nonprofit fundraising preferred.

  • Strong writing and public speaking skills.

  • Proficiency in social media management and email marketing tools.

  • Experience with donor databases or CRM systems is a plus.

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines with grace.

  • A deep passion for supporting youth and building a stronger community.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary with performance bonuses

  • A supportive, mission-driven team

  • Professional development opportunities

  • Flexible scheduling for a healthy work-life balance

  • The chance to make a real impact every day
