Sales Planning Analyst Job Summary:
The Sales Planning Analyst is responsible for assisting Pompeian Strategic Growth Channels Sales team with operational project development, customer presentation needs, forecasting and reporting, and sales project & analytical needs. Priority focus on Sam’s Club, BJ’s, eCommerce, Whole Foods, and Value. The position is based in Baltimore, MD with a 2/3-day hybrid in office. The role will require 10-20% travel for presenting at events when needed and will report to the Club/Value Senior National Account Manager with a dotted line to the eCommerce/Natural Specialty Senior National Account Manager.
Sales Planning Analyst Requirements:
- BS in Food Science, Marketing or Business Administration required
- Knowledge of the CPG industry and customer landscape with 3-5 years of experience preferred
- Analytical and technological expertise to support delivery of actionable insights and strategic recommendations using various data sources
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong business acumen and exceptional project management skills
- Organizational skills and attention-to-detail; able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate independently while also having a strong cross-functional team approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Expert ability to organize and present data in a business case format utilizing Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
- Actively participate in a positive work atmosphere and culture
- Must be able to travel as necessary to be physically present at events when needed (10%-20% required)

Sales Planning Analyst Responsibilities:
- Partner with Senior National Account Managers to support sales strategies that will grow Pompeian distribution, volume & market share
- Assist in Club, Value, Club eCommerce, and Natural Specialty cross-functional project coordination; Lead bi-weekly/monthly calls, including leading agendas, communication, and follow-ups
- Lead Monthly Club Channel retail reporting, including pricing updates and competitive insights
- Collaborate with Senior National Account Managers & Supporting Partner Agencies to spearhead monthly project and presentation needs, working cross functionally to secure the necessary content on all accounts
- Support and manage needs in Trade Promotion System on retails, forecast, promotional planning, analysis and communications
- Engages with Sales Support and Marketing teams to provide retailer feedback & perspective to guide brand strategy, product development, and production capabilities/needs
- Support growth-oriented annual business planning ideation, including internal presentations and meetings
- Work closely with Senior National Account Managers, Finance, and Marketing teams to develop and execute product promotional calendars and trade investment strategies that drive profitable sales, volume, and share
- Evaluate trade campaign investments to provide post-promotional analysis and recommendations on adjusting or re-planning to deliver trade efficiencies
- Continuous analysis of customer data resources, working closely with Senior NAMs and Pompeian Category Insights team to recommend actions aimed at strengthening the positioning of Pompeian brand
- Conduct retail visits, bringing forth ideas and opportunities to the cross-functional teams
- Develop deep knowledge of the Pompeian brand and the Pompeian Difference; Properly communicate Pompeian standards, objectives, and policies to brokers in a professional image of the company while promoting the ideals and values of the Pompeian organization
- Champion opportunities and demonstrate an inner drive & passion to deliver long term, sustainable growth for Pompeian
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and environmental goals
- Perform duties per Pompeian’s mission, goals and core values
- Other adhoc tasks and duties as assigned
