Patient Accounts Representative

We are currently seeking a full-time patient accounts representative to join our team! In this role, you will assist with patient and payer inquiries and must be able to communicate professionally, clearly and effectively when providing information to providers, leadership, and billing staff.  

 Job Responsibilities

• Posts remittances for insurance companies timely and accurately
• Performs appeals and works collection reports to ensure receivable balances remain current to minimize the likelihood of write-offs.  Escalates issues with individual claims that cannot be resolved or a pattern of issues with multiple claims to the Revenue Cycle Manager in a timely manner
• Requests refunds as necessary
• Assists with other duties as required

• Maintains professional, timely, and consistent communication with Manager, physicians, co-workers, other leadership, vendors, and patients.
• Exhibits professional demeanor while representing the practice
• Maintains extreme level of confidentiality
