Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in facility management, business, information management, or engineering preferred.
- PMP certification preferred
Eight to ten years of related facilities experience, food industry experience preferred
- Thorough understanding of facilities planning principles, best practices, and procedures
- Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal building codes, ordinances, and regulationsÂ
- Basic understanding of building design, construction, and maintenance as needed to maintain or ensure maintenance of equipment, buildings, and other parts of the organization’s facilities.
- Strong communication skills
- Basic understanding of budget creation and execution
- Ability to prioritize and delegate multiple tasks and projects to ensure each is completed correctly and in a timely manner
- Strong knowledge and understanding of complex Building Automation Systems in industrial-scale applications
- Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematical diagrams and familiarity with Piping and Instrumentation diagrams
- Demonstrated experience working with complex mechanical and electrical systems in the industrial space
- Experience with mid to large-scale wastewater treatment operations preferred
- Thorough knowledge and experience with industrial boilers, waste treatment, chilled water systems, compressed air, and industrial HVAC systems and utilities
- Thorough understanding of spill procedures and protocols

- Vision, hearing and speaking to meet performance standard
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, climb, bend, stoop, squat, manual dexterity and large motor skills to work with: computers, physical files, typical office equipment and be on the production floor
- The ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
Work Environment
Must be able to work in an environment that may contain non-toxic fumes, dust, odors, moderate level noise, and temperature & ventilation variations while wearing any appropriate safety and/or protective clean room apparel required e.g.: safety glasses, gloves, hair net, beard net, uniform, or lab coat, while in the production or warehouse areas.
