About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Drug and Alcohol Counselor to join our multidisciplinary recovery team. In this role, you’ll provide counseling and case management to clients participating in outpatient treatment. You’ll play a key part in helping individuals develop coping strategies, build support networks, and achieve long-term recovery.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches
  • Complete intake assessments and develop individualized treatment and recovery plans
  • Support clients engaged in both MAT and drug-free treatment programs
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, medical providers, and peer support specialists to coordinate care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with program and state standards
  • Educate clients and families on substance use, relapse prevention, and recovery resources

Qualifications

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (required)

  • Substance use counselor certification (e.g., CADC, LADC, or state equivalent) strongly preferred

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience providing counseling or case management in a substance use or behavioral health setting
  • Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment, relapse prevention, and recovery-oriented practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
