Warehouse Associate and Driver

Role Purpose:
Perform general duties associated with warehouse distribution.  The associate will provide safe, timely and efficient delivery of products to customers and/or branches.  Delivery responsibilities are secondary to the warehouse duties and will only be performed when business needs require additional delivery support.

As a Warehouse Associate, you will:
•    Perform all requirements of assigned department(s) (shipping, receiving, order picking, inventory, delivery, etc.); aid throughout the warehouse. 
•    As the workflow requires:
o    Ensure verification takes place on all incoming and outgoing transactions.
o    Receive material from vendors into the business system and maintain related records.
o    Assist with unloading and unloading delivery vehicles.
o    Oversee cash drawer, fill counter sales orders processing cash and credit transactions.
o    Assists with inventory management including cycle counts.
•    Frequently lift, carry or otherwise move and position product weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted when stocking, loading or unloading products.  Occasionally perform the same activities with products weighing up to 70 pounds.  Typically bend, stoop and/or crouch on a regular basis from various heights to stock or deliver product to a customer.  NOTE: if assigned to the construction product area, frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions product weighing 75+ pounds unassisted when stocking, loading or unloading products.  
•    Operate forklift: proper training and certification required. May also use material handling equipment (including pallet jack, dollies, handcart & conveyor).
•    Create, implement, and revise work procedures and instructions.
•    Clean and maintain work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

As a Driver, you will:
•    Operates various delivery vehicles provided by the company
•    Transports products and material to and from specified destinations.
•    Load and unload the delivery vehicle.
•    Maintains radio contact to receive delivery and pick up instructions
•    Checks truck equipment and supply to ensure roadworthiness. 

Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Include:
•    High school diploma or GED required.
•    Minimum 1-year work experience; previous delivery and warehousing experience preferred.
•    Valid Drivers’ license, good driving record; Motor Vehicle Record check; results must meet company requirements.
•    DOT medical card required; successful completion of DOT physical required if not in current possession of DOT medical card.
•    Basic PC skills, experience with MS Office products preferred.   
•    Familiarity with local driving area experience is preferred.
•    You must conduct professionally when dealing with customers and staff.

Working Conditions:
Normal warehouse environment, retail or manufacturing environments/ 6-8 hours of daily driving
