General Summary:

To be one of the engineering representatives within McNaughton-McKay to work with Sales and vendors in the development of marketing and support activities for assigned product technologies.

Pre-Sale Responsibilities:

  1. An engineering contact within McNaughton-McKay responsible for the sales support of assigned product technologies.
  2. Develops relationships with Sales and the decision-makers within the identified strategic accounts.
  3. Monitors the application and business trends implemented at the identified strategic accounts.
  4. Develops a marketing strategy with Sales to promote the sales of assigned product technologies at the identified strategic accounts.
  5. Develops assigned product technologies solutions that address the application trends at the identified strategic accounts. 
  6. Utilizes customer relationships and documented activities to leverage the value-add activities provided to the identified strategic accounts. 
  7. Establishes business relationships with vendors of assigned product technologies as the technical liaison for customer sales and support.
  8. Assists in the development of vendor contracts and agreements with vendors of assigned product technologies.

Post-Sale Responsibilities:

  1. Manages the availability and the identified strategic account requirements for the assigned product technologies.
  2. Manages the availability and the Services and Solutions (SaS) team requirements for the assigned product technologies.
  3. Trains the Inside Sales and technical support personnel on the assigned product technologies.
  4. Educates and supports the Sales staff on the assigned technology products.

Service Responsibilities:

  1. Qualifies the level of assistance provided to customers with product and integration issues.
  2. Creates the required service procedures to support the assigned product technologies. 
  3. Develops the vendor service/support strategies for the assigned product technologies.   

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  2. Extensive Background in Automation and Controls Design
  3. Design and Programming – Programmable Controllers (PLC), Networking, Human Machine Interface (HMI)
  4. 3-5 Years of hands-on experience with PLC/HMI programming and design
  5. Thorough knowledge of strategic customer applications.
  6. Good relationship with the vendors of assigned technologies.
  7. Proven analytical, organizational and communication skills.
