Required Essential Skills and Experience
- 5+ years experience working at the senior management level in a finance department.
- Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent rules, regulations, and local, state, and federal laws including GAAP, SEC, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
- MBA, CMA, CPA or related degree or comparable experience.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated superior oral and written communication ability and able to work with diverse communities.
- Experience in long-range planning, and developing budget lines.
- Solid understanding of business cycles
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to prioritize projects and tasks to meet the needs of the Co-op.
- Ability to work productively and independently with little to no supervision.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and GL software.
- Proven ability to set and achieve department and organizational goals.
- Desire to determine, foster and develop the best qualities and contributions of department personnel.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Knowledge and/or experience in natural foods and/or cooperative models.
- Familiarity with labor relations and union contracts.
- Experience handling real estate investments.
- IT knowledge or experience.
- Public Speaking experience.
