Position Summary:Â
Part-Time After School Care Provider (2PM-5:30PM)
The After School Care Provider is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for school-aged children during after-school hours. This role includes supervising students, assisting with homework, facilitating recreational activities, and maintaining compliance with all Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) regulations.Â
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Â
• Provide active supervision of children in all areas, following BFTS active supervision standards at all times.Â
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.Â
• Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure authorized pick-up procedures are followed.Â
• Serve snacks in accordance with CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) and program policies.Â
• Assist children with homework, reading, or enrichment activities as needed.Â
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment that complies with BFTS safety and sanitation regulations.Â
• Report any injuries, behavioral issues, or incidents to the supervisor and complete required documentation.Â
• Communicate positively and professionally with parents and staff.Â
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions required by BFTS licensing and the program.Â
• Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the staff handbook and BFTS guidelines.Â
Compensation:Â
Hourly wage based on experience and qualifications. This is a part-time position with no health benefits.Â
