St. Barnabas Medical Center is looking for experienced CNAs for our Hospice Department:

  • Salary Range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Job Type: Full Time
  • Shifts: 7A-3:30P, 8A-4:30P, 9A-5:30P (can vary)
  • Sign on Incentive: Up to $3,000

 

What You Will Do:

  • Perform duties under the direction and supervision of the unit supervisor
  • Perform ADL's
  • Enhance & maintain the resident’s quality of life by providing for and caring for the residents’ physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being
  • Encourages resident participation in activities, assist residents to/from recreational programs & assist with programs as needed
  • Assist with taking blood pressure, temperatures, and weights of residents
  • Assists in maintaining a healthful and safe environment by spending quality time with residents.
  • On average will see 4-6 patients per day and will do light charting. Ability to travel between St. Barnabas facilities and some community patient homes.
  • All other related duties as needed including aiding the resident with shower/bath/bed, skin care, hair styling. etc.

 

What You Will Bring:

  • Must have current/active in good standing Certificate of Nurse Aide Certification in the State of Pennsylvania.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, their families and staff.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Be free from a medical condition, including drug and/or alcohol addiction that would limit the provision of personal care services with reasonable skill and safety.
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for at least 8 hours.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to carry at least 25 Lbs.
  • Job Requires hand grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
  • Job requires ability to kneel, squat, twist and bend at waist and reach.
  • Must be able to push residents in wheelchairs and push/pull laundry carts.
