Job Description

The Customer Service Representative is an entry-level role essential to VSI's customer service team. This individual assists new and existing customers, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication, order processing, and account management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming customer service calls, addressing inquiries and providing product and account information professionally.
  • Process customer orders accurately via phone, email, and fax.
  • Coordinate with delivery schedules, tracking shipments and informing customers of any delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, and account changes.
  • Collaborate with sales reps, warehouse, and shipping teams to address and resolve customer concerns.
  • Represent VSI in a professional manner, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and attend mandatory meetings.
  • May require periodic travel based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a customer service or similar environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other office applications.
  • Strong math skills and ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new responsibilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record (if applicable).

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; may need to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Routine use of phones, computers, and other communication devices.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position requiring good judgment and focus.
