Imagine arriving in a new country with nothing but hope. No job, no home, no community—just a chance. At Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area (LSSNCA), we walk alongside refugees on that journey. Right now, hundreds of Ukrainian families need guidance, dignity, and opportunity as they rebuild their lives in Virginia.


🎯 Your Role: The Guide

As a Case Manager & Employment Coordinator, you’ll be both a navigator and a bridge—connecting newly arrived Ukrainian refugees with housing, healthcare, education, and employment opportunities across Northern Virginia.


🛠️ What You'll Do

  • Enroll clients in resettlement and employment programs.
  • Provide hands-on case management: housing, school, benefits, medical access.
  • Conduct job readiness training and help clients prepare for work in the U.S.
  • Develop employer relationships and match clients with job opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary Ukrainian-speaking liaison between families and community services.
  • Maintain accurate case files and participate in team strategy and community events.

What You Bring

🧩 What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Fluent in Ukrainian (spoken and written). Russian a plus.
  • 1–2 years of experience in refugee services, social work, workforce development, or nonprofit case management.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a commitment to showing up for people in need.

📍 Location & Schedule

  • Based in Fairfax, Virginia
  • Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Travel throughout Northern Virginia (up to 25%)
