Description

The Digital Marketing Coordinator is a key member of LSSNCA’s Communications team responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies to raise money, promote our services, and increase visibility and engagement. This role is responsible for creating visual and written content, managing social media accounts, updating the website, and supporting digital campaigns to advance organizational fundraising and advocacy priorities. The ideal applicant will create compelling visual and written content, be attuned to sector trends, and support donor, partner, and stakeholder growth across the LSSNCA brand. The Digital Marketing Coordinator is expected to be in the office at least two days a week, with flexibility based on both personal and professional needs. This position reports to the Director of Communications and Government Relations.

  • Supports and advances LSSNCA’s brand identity and ensures a consistent voice across agency communications. 
  • Creates compelling visual and written content that highlights success stories, programs and services, educational resources,  fundraising initiatives, campaigns, and external partnerships. 
  • Create “real time” content as needed in response to breaking news. 
  • Develops, maintains, and manages social media content across platforms in alignment with program, fundraising, and campaign goals. Monitors trends to provide recommendations to increase engagement. 
  • Works with the Director of Communications and Government Relations to develop and implement campaigns that explain how – and where – LSSNCA is making an impact on clients and our community. 
  • In coordination with the Communications Manager, collect stories from program participants, volunteers, staff to createcommunications collateral, which may include newsletters, blogs, the CEO’s social media content, fundraising content, and other program priorities. 
  • Work closely with Development and Communications teams in coordinating and promoting organizational events – both in-person and virtually.  Including attending events to gather content and images.
  • Oversees marketing material needs for the organization, such as flyers, postcards, etc.
  • Updates and maintains LSSNCA’s website; works across the agency to update and ensure accuracy of content. 
  • Track and provide analytics on the impact of the organization’s social media and website.
  • Maintains archives of images of videos, publications, reports, presentations, photo/media waivers and other print and electronic files, and provide support to colleagues accessing files. 
  • Monitors Communications inbox and triages responses.

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. 
  • 2+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or public relations (experience in nonprofit, refugee services, or child welfare sectors is a plus). 
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends, with hands-on experience in content creation. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create impactful messaging. 
  • Proficient in graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite). 
  • Experience working with MuckRack, FireSpring, or other database/management systems. 
  • Experience working with Constant Contact or similar platform preferred. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 
  • Passion for refugee and child welfare advocacy and understanding of the sensitive nature of working in this field. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Knowledge of refugee services, child welfare issues, and the nonprofit sector. 
  • Experience with fundraising campaigns and donor engagement strategies. 
  • Familiarity with SEO and digital advertising strategies.
