The Information Technology Manager is responsible for the successful operation of the IT department, managing all aspects of the company's computer and telecommunications systems inclusive of servers, personal computers, and their respective networks, hardware, and software as well as ensure compliance to standards and security. The position will also be very hands on to perform onsite support within our farms like camera installations, running cable wiring, installing/replacing hardware, connecting devices, resolving power connection issues and troubleshooting physical problems that cannot be resolved remotely. The position may oversee technicians responsible for providing technical assistance to employees at various locations, both remotely and on-site.
Summary:
- Enable the company to be successful through safe, fast, friendly and reliable technology environment.
- Oversee the management of information technology vendors, licensing and negotiating contracts and technology related purchases. Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure technology meets company needs.
- Manage the on-site maintenance, troubleshooting computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications. In addition, install, diagnose, repair, and maintain network hardware, wireless solutions, video surveillance systems, user accounts, email and software systems.
- Hands on to perform onsite support within our farms like camera installations, running cable wiring, installing/replacing hardware, connecting devices, resolving power connection issues and troubleshooting physical problems that cannot be resolved remotely.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and configure equipment including laptops, desktops, tablets, and other devices for end users; this includes hardware and common windows operating systems and applications.
- Coordinate and implement the design of network, computer hardware and software systems.
- Provide diagnostic evaluations on damaged hardware, including repair and/or replacement.
- Perform tests and evaluations of new software and hardware to ensure functionality.
- Collaborate within department and broader work groups to maintain overall ownership of user issues and service, ensuring that resolution is provided within a reasonable timeframe.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform with minimal oversight and in a team environment.
- Manage IT help desk and support staff. Recruit, train, and develop and coach employees, communicating job expectations and appraising performance. Enforce performance management practices to driver performance, reinforce positive behaviors and enhance production of team - lead by example and hold others accountable to performance and behavior expectations at all times.
- Partner with Human Resources for hiring, staffing, discipline, and terminations.
- Perform other duties as determined by manager.
