        $24.89 per hour

JOB SUMMARY

 

The Shipping Specialist reports to the Plant Manager/Shift Supervisor and will provide support with the shipping, loading and transportation of manufactured panels.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Consistently promote high standards through personal example.
  • Coordinate the movement of goods; responsible for preparing shipments, tracking deliveries and resolving shipping issues
  • Pick/pack and ship order
  • Operate overhead cranes
  • Operate multiple size lift trucks
  • Manage logistics
  • Receive merchandise for return or delivery and verify contents
  • Maintain and accurately record inventory which includes but is not limited to dunnage, lumber wrap, banding, etc.
  • Regular Attendance and Punctual
  • Identify damaged, lost, or missing products
  • Label & scan products
  • Unload CNC and Beamline Roll case- this includes operating roll case transfers on CNC, Beam line and Crossover Transfer
  • Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure sufficient storage space for incoming items and organize stack production for correct loading of trucks and/or rail cars
  • Performs cycle counts
  • Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, and workstations neat, maintaining clean shipping supply area, complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Completes reports by entering required information.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Good work history/ attendance record.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, talk, or hear.
  • Exposed to varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Must have and demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Must have and demonstrate a highly effective attention to details
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple logistics and other software programs including email, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.
  • Must have positive and effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to work well with others. .Excellent team player.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving skills and math skills.
