bout the Role:
MAP is seeking a licensed mental health counselor to join our practice in Aiken, SC. This is a full-time, in-office position working with children, adolescents, adults and established multidisciplinary group, including psychiatrists, psychologists, LISWs and LPCs.

 You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual therapy to a varied caseload. Our team values collaboration, professional integrity, and a steady approach to client care. This role offers the structure and stability of a group setting while allowing room for clinical independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, family, or group therapy to clients across the lifespan
  • Complete diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in a timely manner
  • Coordinate care with other professionals as needed
  • Adhere to professional and ethical standards in all clinical work and documentation 
  • Follows up to determine reliability of treatment used and changes method and degree of therapy when indicated.
  • Consults with other legal and treatment agencies and individuals in relation to patient/client records, rights, and responsibilities.
  • Supports the goals and mission of MAP.
  • Adheres to all pertinent policies and procedures of MAP.
  • Coordinating with outside agencies on client issues related to the promotion of treatment and recovery.
  • Performs other duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy; doctoral degree in clinical psychology or counseling; or a degree in a similar behavioral health field.
  • Active South Carolina license: PhD, LISW-CP, LPC, or LMFT
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience (internship/practicum may be considered)
  • Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
