Description

Medical Associates Plus (MAP), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is seeking a full-time M.D., PA or NP to provide comprehensive psychiatric care within our Behavioral Health Department. This position combines clinical service with strategic leadership to improve behavioral health outcomes across our service areas.


Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Services:

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, treatment planning, and medication management.
  • Deliver care to a diverse patient population across the lifespan in an integrated care setting.
  • Promote the principles of healthcare integration and the Patient-Centered Medical Home.

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Collaborate with the CMO and leadership team to shape behavioral health strategy and programming.
  • Assess community needs and contribute to service development initiatives.

Operations & Access:

  • Improve patient access through streamlined triage, scheduling, and care models.
  • Monitor referrals, patient flow, and service utilization.

Team Development:

  • Supervise behavioral health staff, support professional development, and participate in credentialing/privileging processes.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, mentorship, and excellence.

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Required:

  • MD, NP, PA in Psychiatry from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification 
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice in Georgia.

Preferred:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience in public or community mental health settings.
