Description

This position is responsible for the service, repair, and preventative maintenance of the manufacturing equipment required for ethanol production. This position also performs all government agency-required inspections regularly to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations per operating permits.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Centrifuge service and maintenance.
  • Maintain and implement all necessary lubrication and greasing of equipment on a plant-wide basis.
  • Diaphragm pump preventative maintenance and repair as required.
  • Centrifugal pump service and alignment.
  • Rolling stock operation, maintenance, service, and repairs as needed.
  • Review the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform maintenance throughout the facility, as specified by MAPCON software­ generated work orders and preventive maintenance work orders.
  • Perform all required governmental agency inspections and complete the necessary documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of boiler operations, centrifugal pump service, and repair.
  • Strong welding, pipe fitting experience preferred, and basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills preferred.
  • Ability to operate computer-based MAPCON maintenance software.
  • Must be available for 9-hour shifts per day and available for work outside of normal shift hours as needed as part of an established on-call rotation.
  • Must be able to work as directed, individually as well as in a team environment.

Working conditions & Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work at high elevations, climb, lift, and work outdoors as each job requires.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to working near moving mechanical parts.
  • Must be able to work in FR rated clothing during warm weather days outdoors.
  • This position requires work to be performed indoors and outdoors year-round. Also occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions, high noise environments.
  • A hard hat, safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes are required PPE for this position
