Job Summary:
The select candidate will be responsible for tax return preparation, data analytics and process documentation surrounding international tax compliance and audits as applicable on a global basis.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Research international tax law to determine country registration requirements, rates, exemptions.
• Interact with foreign tax authorities, vendors, customers and consultants to obtain both technical information and on-the-ground intelligence on Tax requirements applicable to aviation
• Coordinate and assist in the preparation of VAT, Fuel, Excise, Carbon, and Sales Tax returns
• Manage VAT and Customs outsource provider relationships
• Support tax setups in tax determination engine
• Assist with cross-functional tax department projects
• Mentor team members assisting on research and audit documentation projects
• Handle audits of international taxes
• Assist with cross-functional tax department projects 
• Ensure accurate tax information is communicated to other team members and other departments 

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Working with strict deadlines
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to research/comprehend regulatory documents
• Problem solving skills / deductive reasoning
• Organization and accuracy skills
• Prior general ledger reconciliation experience

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience in VAT, fuel, excise and carbon tax related tax matters.
• Aviation background helpful

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. 
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
