JOIN OUR TEAM AS THE DIRECTOR OF OUTPATIENT SERVICES!

 

The Director of Outpatient Services is responsible for establishing and maintaining departmental policies, procedures, goals, objectives, and standards that improve day-to-day operations. Reviews overall hospital quality performance goals and ensures objectives are met. This includes personnel oversight, providing ongoing Quality Improvement monitors, ensuring that current standards are met, and ensuring that the staff's skills and educational needs are met. The Director is responsible for the quality of patient care. The Director ensures that safe patient care is provided by qualified and competent patient care staff to all patients who present at the clinics.

 

  • Represent the Outpatient Services Department at the executive level and, in consultation with the Medical Director, plan, develop, and implement formal and organized clinical services programs as part of the therapeutic environment.
  • Develop and organize programs of clinical services based on specialized patient populations.
  • Maintain an awareness of community and market-related activities, which includes knowledge of the activities of other providers, needs of local payers, and the political climate related to mental health.
  • Provide a broad vision in the development of programs and the evaluation of current services offered.
  • Strategically solve problems that encompass the larger view of the organization, and establish goals by utilizing an understanding of organizational dynamics in planning and problem solving.
  • Remain current on all clinical techniques and provide direction to staff and facility personnel.
  • Participate in developing, justifying, and controlling the annual budget for department personnel, facilities, and equipment.

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

 

Education:  Graduate of an accredited school with a master’s degree in social work or a related mental health field; preferred.   

Experience:  Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the psychiatric/mental health field, with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in advanced clinical/management practice preferred. 

License: Appropriate State of Georgia licensure in mental health, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred. 

Additional Requirements: A strong knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA regulations, patient rights standards, and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
