Sports Bar Wait Staff

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Recognize and acknowledge guests as soon as possible (within one minute of their arrival, unless waiting on another table or picking up food).
• Take food and beverage orders from guests.
• Promptly and accurately relay food and beverage orders to Sports Bar bartenders and kitchen staff as appropriate.
• Engage in suggestive sales as appropriate.
• Assume responsibility for assigned section for entirety of shift.
• Utilize proper tray service (i.e. trays balanced on change hand, carried above shoulder level and used with tray jack).
• Maintain familiarity with service procedures, menus and seating chart.
• Accurately and efficiently accept payment and make change during transactions.
• Utilize proper cash handling and control procedures.
• Operate POS terminal.
• Perform housekeeping duties in dining room and service areas, ensuring that all areas are clean and sanitized.
• Engage in light food preparation as needed.
• Perform daily side work as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience working with the public required.
• Previous wait staff experience strongly preferred.
