This position will be based in Atlanta, GA with frequent travel to Tampa, FL and the DFW, TX area.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the CEO, the EVP Technology/CTO will be an experienced technology professional and will be a key member of the executive team with overall responsibility for Technology Strategy, Vision, and Execution. A significant part of this role will involve assessing the technology platform and how it supports business objectives through optimized product delivery.
This EVP Technology/CTO role requires a unique blend of technical skills and strategic vision with responsiveness and decision making. This individual will have the unique vertical reach to be not only current in their technology expertise and therefore credible with developers but also possess the intellect and gravitas to operate at the executive level. It is crucial that this person understands the business consequences of key technology decisions and can communicate effectively at all levels. The EVP Technology/CTO will “think big” and be able to effectively act as a company and product evangelist as well as lead a high-performing engineering operations team. Our EVP Technology/CTO will earn a reputation of trusted authority in the marketing automation community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the company’s technology function, including articulating and executing a technology vision
- As a member of the Executive team, partner across disciplines to ensure Product Technology Roadmap aligns with business needs
- Leading software engineering, ensure the appropriate level of discipline, structure, process & maturity exists within the engineering organization
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, marketing technologies and software development best practices
Required Experience:
- Recent and repeated success leading the technology function of a high growth innovative organization
- 5 + years of experience with lead generation and virtual marketing products, 10+ years of management experience.
- Experience influencing the overall business strategy while focusing on the realities of product delivery (not with the ‘latest and greatest technology’ but rather what can meet objectives)
- Experience minimizing tech debt
- Experience leveraging and customizing, integrating SAS based marketing technologies.
- Experience with AI/Machine Learning; must have been core to a commercially delivered product (not as a tool used internally); must have worked with a data science team
- Experience building B2B software
- Familiar with distributed, service-oriented, cloud enabled architectures; data/ETL pipelines; containers and container orchestration.
- Demonstrated strength running a technology organization with strong aptitude around data, metrics, analytics, and business intelligence
- Proven experience innovating: bringing new products to market, influencing technology roadmaps for existing product entry into new markets, and differentiating products in a competitive market
- Ability to listen, consider, and assimilate input from a wide range of constituents; solid influencing skills; capable of building consensus using the voice of our customers; a thought leader
