The Role

Step into an exciting, fast-paced, and creative role as an Amazon and Digital Trade Sales Manager with the Trade Sales Team at David C Cook. From managing our titles on multiple online platforms to creatively thinking through and executing promotions of our content collaboratively within the company, this role tap into your creativity and excitement to make faith-forming resources available to the world. The Trade Sales Team presents and serves our trade accounts in North America, as well as churches, libraries, and ministry organizations with our biblically centered resources.

Specifically, this highly collaborative and innovative role will guide the continued success and development of our Amazon sales channel, utilizing sales and marketing strategies and tactics to increase product views, reviews, and sales on Amazon, as well as increasing our digital footprint within our ever-expanding eBook and audio book ecosystem. You will have the opportunity to engage company-wide to build opportunities and success for David C Cook’s resources, providing expertise from the marketplace to better guide future content and product decisions to help David C Cook continue to lead the way with resourcing the Church.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field required. Will accept 5+ years of work experience in lieu of a degree. 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in trade sales, digital commerce, or Amazon account management. Demonstrated success in revenue growth and account ownership required. 
  • Proficient in Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central, digital audiobook and eBook platforms (e.g., Audible, Apple Books, OverDrive), and Amazon Advertising tools.
  • Working knowledge of SEO, A+ content creation, and conversion optimization.
  • Certification in digital marketing, Amazon Ads, or e-commerce platforms preferred.
  • Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Some travel required, including attendance at Sales Summits and account visits.
  • Passion for David C Cook’s mission and a heart for sharing Christ-centered resources that inspire lifelong discipleship.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary account manager and liaison for Amazon, digital sales platforms, and select trade accounts, ensuring consistent communication and account health.
  • Oversee and administer Amazon account operations, including inventory management, product page optimization, promotions, and cross-departmental coordination.
  • Develop and implement annual growth plans and quarterly performance targets for Amazon, digital, and select trade sales channels in collaboration with the Senior Director.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, advertising ROI, and consumer engagement metrics; lead post-launch evaluations and share insights for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, creative, rights, and production) to align promotional strategies, inventory planning, and content presentation across platforms.
  • Manage digital accounts for eBooks and audiobooks, ensuring timely updates, promotional execution, and alignment with rights and production teams.
  • Identify and pursue new digital business opportunities and partnerships to support long-term sales growth and innovation.
  • Maintain and distribute weekly reports on Amazon performance, orders, inventory, and other key metrics to internal stakeholders.
  • Utilize sales platforms and databases to generate accurate reports and maintain up-to-date account information.
  • Coordinate seasonal promotions and new release campaigns for assigned accounts, ensuring timely execution and cross-functional alignment.
  • Conduct competitor research and industry analysis to identify trends, benchmark performance, and recommend strategic adjustments.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, customer behavior, and digital commerce trends to contribute innovative ideas and strategies.
  • Manage select print trade sales accounts as assigned, meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
  • Participate in post-launch evaluations and contribute to cross-departmental learnings and improvements.
  • Attend Seasonal Sales Summits (3x/year) and account visits as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a collaborative spirit.
