Job Title: Subsea SURF Engineer
Job Summary:
The Subsea SURF Engineer is responsible for the engineering, design, and execution support of Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines (SURF) systems within field development projects. The role involves coordination across engineering disciplines, vendors, and installation contractors to ensure SURF systems meet functional, safety, and schedule requirements from concept through offshore execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design and delivery of SURF systems, including:
- Flexible and rigid flowlines
- Risers (steel catenary, flexible, or hybrid)
- Umbilicals (hydraulic, electric, fiber optic)
- Jumpers, PLETs/PLEMs, and subsea structures
- Prepare and review engineering deliverables such as specifications, drawings, data sheets, and installation procedures.
- Contribute to the development of pipeline routing, riser configurations, span analysis, and interface layouts.
- Interface with hardware, controls, wells, and topsides teams to ensure design compatibility.
- Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, FATs, SITs, and pre-installation readiness activities.
- Conduct and review analyses including thermal expansion, fatigue, stability, and flow assurance input.
- Support material selection, corrosion protection, insulation, and coating strategies.
- Liaise with procurement and vendors to track equipment delivery, fabrication, and testing.
- Provide technical support during offshore installation, commissioning, and operational handover.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry codes (API, DNV, ISO), and regulatory standards.
