PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in customer service, equipment rental and/or sales.
- Experience with ski and snowboard tuning and binding adjustments.
- Possess excellent communication and active listening skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Outdoor: Regularly working in quickly changing winter weather conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Exposure: Involves melting plastics (P-Tex) and using various chemicals with potential for exposure to fumes. Potential for minor injuries or cuts from grinding machines, sharp edges, and hand tools.
- Work physically near others throughout the shift.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift boots, bindings, and skis frequently throughout the shift, and items regularly that weigh up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to operate all tuning equipment and general hand tools.
- Requires the ability to learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, communicate effectively with coworkers and visitors, handle stressful situations and upset customers, and completing tasks independently and efficiently.
