POSITION SUMMARY:

Upholds FCB’s mission, by analyzing financial status through the collection, monitoring, and studying of data. This position requires a thorough knowledge of standard accounting systems, generally accepted accounting principles, and financial analysis.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Accounting/Reporting:                                       50%

  • Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Gathers, prepares, and develops reports and reconciles performance measurement data for multiple categories to be distributed to all levels of management.
  • Substantiates financial transactions by reconciling various general ledger accounts.
  • Participates in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation for management, outside auditors, and regulators.

Accounts Payable:                                           40%

  • Processes and maintains the Concur Invoice system for paying invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling and preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.
  • Maintains a database of vendors including payment information.
  • Generates 1099s for vendors.
  • Processes and maintains the prepaid and auto entry system of accounting.

Other:                                                              10%

  • Performs back up to FCB’s daily cash position and Accounting’s daily reconciliations.
  • Performs special projects as assigned.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related goals, as needed.
  • Participates in civic and community activities to generate visibility and contact for the bank.
  • Attends mandatory compliance and security sessions.  Monitors daily work for adherence to compliance and security regulations, policies/procedures, and promptly corrects any deficiencies.

Qualifications

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • Work is performed primarily indoors in an office setting.
  • Remote work may be available upon supervisor approval.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
  • CPA designation and two years accounting or banking preferred.
  • Ability to learn new computer software programs necessary.
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of and ability to cross-sell FCB products and services to customers-such as the ability to identify customers’ needs, communicate services, explain advantages, and close sales activity.
  • Skill in working with the public, presenting a professional image of the bank, and servicing prospective and current customer inquiries, requests, and complaints.
  • Knowledge of current compliance related issues plus new and updated regulations.
