POSITION SUMMARY:
Passionate about First Citizens Bank’s culture, core values, vision, and mission!  This position will take a lead role in planning all bank customer and/or employee events at all locations.  As a contributing member of the Marketing Department Team, may be asked to assist in the planning, design, production, and facilitation of marketing materials and campaigns.  Travel regularly to all branches This position will meet new hires within the onboarding process to explain the culture of FCB.  This position will also incorporate the fundamental components of “The Principals of Welcome Home” as outlined on all job descriptions as Quality Service Standards and Work Performance Expectations. 
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Event Planning:                                                           55%
	- Coordinates and develops budgets for promotional events for all FCB locations such as Business After Hours, holiday open house, customer appreciation day, fairs, employee parties, and others. Prepares for promotional events by computing space and equipment requirements, determining layout, purchasing all materials, giveaways, food/beverage items, setting decorations and assisting with staff coverage. Works bankwide events from setup to cleanup unless otherwise arranged. Designs follow-up/surveys/recaps post-event and uses results to make future events more efficient and improved upon year after year.  
- Leads the research and cost negotiation of venue, entertainment, speakers, decoration, catering, etc for various bank wide and/or department events, such as the Day of Exploration, Bank Wide Holiday Parties, etc.
- Serves as main point of contact for all vendors/speakers for all bankwide events.
- May design and develop graphic design components: flyers, banners, newspaper ads, newsletters, billboards, in-house media, and direct mail pieces to promote various events.
- Assists with informing the public and employees by disseminating information and developing materials and product sheets.
- May support the organization’s marketing efforts by assembling and distributing materials to branch locations.
- Researches available event planning software and/or interactive conference/group software and makes recommendations for investments in appropriate software/subscriptions.
- With input from the Executive Assistant – Board Secretary, coordinates the annual FCFC shareholder meeting, annual board of director holiday party (room arrangements, materials, supplies, meal arrangements, invitation, holiday gift coordination etc.).  
Culture Curator:                                                          20%
	- Ability to multitask, use judgement, and have the confidence to work with all levels of management as needed.  
- Utilize Viva Engage to promote employee engagement which may include posts to create sense of engagement/belonging, inspirational, motivational, short stories, including pictures when appropriate.   
- Designs and develops bank-wide employee “encouragement/thank you” gifts and surprises, along with contests/motivational events.
- Coordinates employee logo shirt orders and maintains dialogue with appropriate vendors.
- Meets with new hires to train on the culture of FCB and the principals of Welcome Home during the employee onboarding process across all departments/branches.
- Connect with new FCB employees as needed during their first weeks of employment to serve as a resource as appropriate.       
- Participates in staff meetings to ensure dissemination of information is consistent throughout the bank.  Prepare for these meetings by proactively being engaged with department leaders to know what relevant information should be communicated.   
- May be responsible for coordinating Rise & Shine employee Teams meetings.  
- May handle a variety of marketing duties including outside message signs, banners for events, holiday and business gifts, compilation of survey results, purchase of promotional items.
- Ensures visual merchandising is current, consistent throughout all branches.  
- Supports financial literacy efforts of the bank by ensuring employees are aware of the bank’s efforts and promoting throughout our markets.
Community Relations:                                     20%
	- Work with accounting department to plan appropriate budget dollars for bank sponsorship requests including but not limited to in-kind or monetary donations or sponsorships.
- May be responsible for creating bank gift baskets and giveaways for various events and clubs.
- Participates in civic and community activities to generate visibility and contact for the bank.
Other Duties:                                                   5%
	- Assist in the creation and execution of videography for internal or external use.
- Performs daily backup of computer files and periodic maintenance routines on desktop publishing hardware and software.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and webinars; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
- Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.
- Refers potential customers to the bank.
- Attends mandatory compliance and security sessions.  Monitors daily work for adherence to compliance and security regulations, and policies/procedures, and promptly correct any deficiencies.
- Completes annual compliance training as required.
