Reports to:                 AVP, Project & Core Banking Manager

Summary / Objective

The Project Application Support Specialist is responsible for supporting project management efforts by assisting the AVP, Project & Core Banking Manager with larger projects and working with colleagues on smaller scale projects or department tasks. An integral function of this role is to support and maintain the applications deemed critical and that are used bank wide. The person in this role will act as a liaison within the Bank to facilitate the use of applications.

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent of 2-4 years’ experience in project management
  • Banking experience preferred, not required

  • Travel as necessary to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Specific Job Functions:

  • Support project leads with smaller scale projects and guides the process, including documentation
  • Assist the AVP, Project & Core Banking Manager with large scale projects
  • Utilize project management software/documentation for the life cycle of the project
  • Attend project management meetings and provides updates
  • Support the relationships between the bank and the core, document management, and identity access management systems
  • Work closely with vendors, internal department heads, and staff to streamline processes, procedures, forms, systems, communications to eliminate points of friction our members encounter when interacting with the bank. 
  • Ensure timely communication and information sharing across departments and project teams to support collaboration 
  • Keep up to date on developments in technology, products, services, and consumer expectations. 
  • Assist with the identification and roll-out of enhancements to our internal applications and processes
  • Improve application functionality, performance and provide suggestions for system and business improvements
  • Research internal customer requests for usage and functionality in bank applications
  • Assist in reviewing bank application requests.
  • Manage the knowledge base repository for critical banking applications
