POSITION SUMMARY:
The Telecom Technician will participate in the installation or maintenance and inspection of telecommunication systems and associated processes.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Regular attendance at assigned location; may include A/Z office or other project site;
- Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows blueprints, insuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings and flooring.
- Installs cable supports, through floor and wall sleeves, fire stopping materials
- Oversees or participates in data cable installations, open wiring, with conduit and on cable trays;
- Installs relays racks, cabinets, network switches.
- Install cable trays above and below floors
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Terminates data, voice, coaxial, control and fiber optic cables.
- Test cables to TIA/EIA level II standards with cable analyzer.
- Perform other routine duties as directed by workplace leader,
- Must maintain strict adherence to safety rules and quality;
- Participate in site housekeeping;
- Additional duties as directed by management.
