Position Summary:
The Clinical Testing Specialist is responsible for the testing and analysis of the functional disorders of the lower urinary tract, i.e., the bladder and the urethra.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepares exam room in the clinical area for daily patient care, adhering to sterilization and disinfection practices throughout the facility.
- Directs patients to exam rooms, taking the required vital signs and obtaining urine specimens; performs dip and automated urinalyses and microscopic exams when indicated at the end.
- Provide diagnostic urodynamics testing for patients, including accurate measurement of their urinary flow and residual urine volumes and assessment of their symptoms.
- Ensure completion of consents and required accurate documentation in EMR.
- Responsible for follow-up post-op phone calls to patients.
- Coordinate the inventory and control of all clinical supplies with the Nurse Manager. Maintains established PAR levels; ordering of supplies is timely and relative to the site budget. Supply cabinets are neat and organized.
- Assists in maintenance of all logs and records for OSHA/MOSHA.
