Role: Business Analyst Intern

Reports to: Manager of Finance

Level: Internship

Location: Chicago, Illinois

 

Overview of the Role:

The Business Analyst Intern will assist the finance and operations teams with financial reporting, budgeting, data organization, process improvement, and administrative tasks, while gaining exposure to business strategy and project execution. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, allowing the intern to contribute to key projects while gaining insight into the day-to-day operations of the company’s finance and operations departments.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with basic financial reporting and analysis to understand key business metrics.
  • Support the finance team with budgeting tasks and learn about financial planning processes.
  • Help update and organize financial and operational data in company systems.
  • Work with the operations team to identify and improve business processes.
  • Attend team meetings to observe and assist in gathering data for business decisions.
  • Assist in preparing simple presentations and reports for internal use.
  • Learn about business strategy by assisting with project planning and execution.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance and operations teams, gaining exposure to various business functions.

 

 

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

  • Graduation year of 2026 or 2027.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and basic data management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and a desire to learn analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in teams.
  • A proactive attitude with a passion for learning and taking on new challenges.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
