Job Summary:

The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for utilizing PrintFlow to develop and maintain an optimized master schedule, ensuring alignment with customer needs, production requirements, and inventory levels. They will facilitate effective communication across departments, collaborate with production teams, analyze production data, coordinate workflow, and contribute to process improvement efforts.

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Utilize PrintFlow to develop and maintain the master schedule that aligns with customer needs, production requirements, and inventory levels.
  • Facilitate effective communication across all departments ensuring the needs of the customer are met.
  • Work closely with the production managers to understand labor capacity on a weekly basis.
  • Collaborate with the production team members to ensure the jobs are running on the more efficient platform taking into consideration all other constraints.
  • Review the master production schedule at the daily morning meeting. Indicate any issues to the rest of the managers to ensure all inputs to the job are completed before heading to press.
  • Continuously seek to improve PrintFlow by providing recommendations on limits, preferences, and other expressions.
  • Ensure two scheduling backups are fully trained in the job requirements.
  • Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data.
  • Plan and schedule workflow for each printing press.
  • Coordinate between all departments to ensure that each job is manufactured to meet customer delivery dates.
  • Verify that all materials & tooling are available to production of order.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisor or any other manager.
  • Participate in all HOP programs and events.
  • Adhere to Hub Labels safety rules and regulations, this includes wearing steel-toed shoes and other PPE protection if applicable.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

Must be computer literate.

Ability to use Microsoft Excel

Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures.

Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to recognize manufacturing constraints & problem solving.

 

Education & Experience:

Associates Degree (A.A.) degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience in lean manufacturing processes

 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear.

Required to stand or walk on concrete for extended periods.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Will lift or move up to 100 pounds with mechanical assistance.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include:  close, distance, color and peripheral vision, as well as, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

 

The work environment is that of a manufacturing facility. Conditions change as the outdoor climate changes. There are moderate exposures to heat and cold, as well as exposure to moderate noise levels, moving equipment, and other general manufacturing hazards.
