GENERAL INTRODUCTION:

The Archbishop, visible principle of unity in his archdiocese, is called to build up the particular Church unceasingly in the communion of all its members, and to ensure that their diverse gifts and ministries, in union with the universal Church, serve to build up all the faithful and to spread the Gospel. (Apostolorum Successores 8). He must take care that all the affairs which belong to the administration of the whole archdiocese are duly coordinated and are ordered to attain more suitably the good of the portion of the people of God entrusted to him.” (Apostolorum Successores 177).

Each position employed in the Chancery helps to extend the ministry of the archbishop in particular ways as outlined in the position description.

 

 

 

Job Summary:

Provide ongoing coordination and administrative support for the adoption of ParishStaq Software, Parishioner Engagement System (“PES”), with the Parishes, Schools, and Archdiocesan offices. Primary role is supporting ongoing training and support of the ministries of our parishes and schools in use of ParishStaq. Including assisting with and providing administrative and logistical support to for meetings, programs, and event. This role will be the owner and manager of the archdiocesan online ParishStag support resources.

 

 

 

Responsibilities and Duties

This role will require a teamwork approach with ParishStaq leadership, including Chief Information Security Officer, Director of ParishStaq Program Management, and others on the PES team. Many of the items described below will be done in partnership with the Director of ParishStaq Program Management (“PM”) and other members of the Implementation Team with greater responsibility and independence as the implementation progresses:

 

Teamwork:

  • Attend project update meetings (weekly) and steering committee reporting meetings (quarterly) with Archdiocesan Implementation Team
  • In coordination with the Project Analyst coordinate communications for the project, including updating online Learning and Implementation Site and maintaining PES Parish Only resource site.
  • Support the project team with preparation for Steering Committee meetings.

 

Pushpay Training:

  • Participate in training sessions provided by PushPay and the PES Team

 

 

Parish Support:

  • Support Parish Campus Admins with onboarding and offboarding users.
  • Support the Director of ParishStaq Program Management with any data collection, status reporting, and issue tracking.
  • Assist PES Team with planning for the successful adoption of the ParishStaq system.
  • Assist with follow-up post-training regularly and plan for additional training needs.
  • Assist parishes with the use and build out of their Giving App, ChMS, custom app, and LEAD App

 

 

 

Archdiocese-wide Training (internal Chancery and external pastoral unit locations)

  • Support collection of FAQ and enhancement requests and facilitate communication.
  • Attend and administratively support both online and in-person learning solutions for training and support of parishes and chancery departments, including organizing, set up, and clean up.
  • Assist with communication campaigns.
  • Promote and assist ongoing training opportunities for ParishStaq use.
  • Respond to help requests from Parishes.

 

 

Act as owner and manager of the online support resources of the ParishStaq platform.

  • Organize and maintain system for training materials.
  • Writing & reviewing online help resources.
  • Reorganize existing content, edit and trim existing videos.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

Primary:   

  • Willingness and ability to support the mission of the Church by extending the ministry of the archbishop.
  • Ability and desire to use God-given gifts and talents in service of the local Church in support of the collaboration between lay and ordained Ministers.

 

 

Education:   

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience as an administrative assistant
  • Ability to use software applications in a parish setting.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools, browsing the internet, managing files and folders.
  • Some experience working in an office environment.

 

 Other Elements: 

  • Detail-oriented and accurate.
  • Good organizational skills and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate with individuals and groups of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

 

 

 

 

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
