The successful candidate will:
- Be a practicing Catholic
- Have experience using the St. Michael Hymnal and Lumen Christi Missals
- Have experience singing the Entrance, Offertory, and Communion antiphons in Latin.
- Have experience selecting and coordinating music for all liturgical celebrations, including regular Sunday Masses, Holy Days, and special events, like funerals and weddings.Â
- Have experience, training, hiring, and leading both volunteer vocal musicians, as well as integrating paid section leaders into the ensembles. He/She will have experience recruiting, hiring, and supervising accompanists.
- Have experience transitioning from the Graduale Propers to the English Propers.
- Have familiarity with the Gregorian and English chant resources and performance.
- Familiarity with the Missal Chants of the Third Edition of the Roman Missal, the GIRM, and current documents related to Sacred Music.
- Have proficiency in choral conducting; experience or education in training choir, along with the  ability to conduct choir while playing piano or organ.
- Be able to arrange music for the needs of the choirs and instrumentalist when needed.
- Be proficient in organ (hymnody, solo repertoire, and improvisation within the liturgy when needed).
