The Peer Support Services Manager is responsible for oversight and direct provision of Peer
Support Services to program participants in accordance with the regulatory requirements and
LSC Policy and Mission. The Peer Support Services Manager will also supervise, manage, train
and evaluate Peer Support Specialist within the program.
This is a Hybrid position.Â
Essential Functions:Â
1. Ensure service delivery is performed in accordance to agency mission, policies and
philosophy.
2. Identify staffing needs in coordination with the Program Director.
3. Recruit, interview, hire and train new staff.
4. Determine team caseload size based on the level of acuity and needs of the client(s).
5. Enhance staff’s ability to perform by teaching and modeling technical knowledge and
skills, time management, communication skills, and conflict management skills.
6. Cooperatively and actively participate in all assigned staff and supervisory meetings as
well as in service trainings and staff development activities.
7. Provide staff with regular feedback, coaching and constructive criticism on job
performance.
8. Track and monitor that staff are appropriately assessing needs of clients, implementing
treatment interventions consistent with treatment plans, providing best-practice
interventions, accessing resources available and supporting consumer’s movement
across levels of care as appropriate.
9. Provide direct service interventions as appropriate and/or required within Peer Support
Services Service Definition. Introduce and link individuals to community resources
outside of the facility to promote community integration, e.g., public transportation
training, computer educational/G.E.D. classes, vocational services, health and wellness,
banking, and financial entitlements, etcÂ
10. Collaborate with client(s) and other agencies to develop recovery-oriented person-
centered plan for the client that demonstrates consideration for integrated care.
11. Provide regular individual and/or group supervision as appropriate and per service
definition requirements.
12. Facilitate or co-facilitate skill building recovery groups based on the needs or request of
clients.
13. Track and monitor the progress of individuals and families receiving services.
14. Collect and apply data to improve client outcomes.
15. Ensure referrals for community resources requested by client(s) are completed.
16. Meet the organization’s quality improvement and evaluation requirements.
17. Submit timely documentation and progress reports as requested.
18. Other duties as assigned.
