Summary:
Shoals Technologies, a global renewable energy organization, is hiring a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's enterprise IT infrastructure. This role places a strong emphasis on Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, Citrix, Remote Desktop Services (RDS), and VMware. The successful candidate will architect scalable, secure systems, support cloud and on-prem environments, and lead infrastructure projects that align with business objectives and security standards. The role will also require mentoring of junior staff and will require the candidate to have good time management skills, including managing competing priorities to ensure delivery. Â

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support Microsoft-based infrastructure including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP.Â
- Administer and support Office 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint) and Microsoft 365 tenant configuration.Â
- Engineer and manage Citrix and RDS environments for secure application delivery and remote access.Â
- Deploy and maintain virtual infrastructure using VMware / vSphere or other hyper-visors and related storage technologies.Â
- Automate infrastructure management and deployments using scripting languages such as PowerShell or configuration tools like Ansible.Â
- Monitor performance, conduct root cause analysis, and proactively resolve infrastructure-related issues.Â
- Lead or participate in systems upgrades, migrations, and security hardening initiatives.Â
- Support hybrid and cloud environments including Azure integration.Â
- Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes are effective and tested.Â
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, helpdesk, business applications) and mentor junior staff.Â
- Document infrastructure designs, standard operating procedures, and support processes.Â
