Job Summary:
The Student Experience and Family Engagement Manager is responsible for creating, promoting, and enhancing a cohesive and vibrant student life experience while fostering meaningful engagement with student families. This position supports student success and retention by nurturing students' mind, body, and spirit and strengthening the Mount community through family, alumni, and community connections.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Engagement
- Collaborate with all student experience departments to develop and publish a cohesive student experience calendar that nurtures students holistically.
- Oversee all undergraduate student organizations; train and support organization advisors.
- Serve as the direct advisor to Student Government Association (SGA) and Campus Activities Board (CAB).
- Support the development of a dynamic student fan experience at Mount athletic events, partnering with Athletics.
- Support the annual undergraduate Leadership Retreat, Orientation, Welcome Week, Family Weekend, Graduation, and Homecoming activities.
- Support the creation and execution of student programs for graduate students in collaboration with Graduate Program Directors.
Family Engagement and Communications
- Collaborate with all student experience departments to develop and publish a cohesive student experience calendar that nurtures students’ mind, body, and spirit.Â
- Create and manage regular prospective student parent communications and website content highlighting all aspects of student experience; collaborate with Admissions and Marketing for dissemination.
- Create and manage regular undergraduate parent newsletters and communications; collaborate with Marketing and key campus partners to distribute and amplify messaging.
- Maintain a strong online presence for student experience and family engagement via webpage updates and digital promotions.
Leadership
- Manage student employees.
- Manage projects aimed at creating innovative and relevant social media pathways focused on engagement of our students and parents.Â
Recruitment and Retention
- Conduct high school recruiting visits and presentations in partnership with the Office of Admissions and student experience departments to promote Mount’s holistic student experience.
Assessment and Strategy
- Collect attendance data and feedback from student events and programs.
- Analyze feedback and metrics to help guide the development of future student engagement initiatives.
- Regularly review and recommend updates for student experience web pages, ensuring dynamic, up-to-date, and engaging content.
